Dr. José Remesal received award mention by Academy Sciences das Lisboa 30/01/2016

The Academia das Ciências de Lisboa (Sciences Academy of Lisbon) has awarded the mention of Foreign Member to Dr. José Remesal, within the framework of the presentation of the conference “Economics and Politics in the Roman Empire”, in recognition of his career and his work as researcher in the area of social sciences and particularly in the history and archaeology of classical times. The event took place on January 28, 2015 in the premises of the Academia das Ciências de Lisboa.

Taking advantage of his presence in Lisbon, The University of Lisbon has been invited him to present a conference entitled “Food production and trade commerce in the Roman Empire: the case of Baetic oil.” Dr. José Remesal has to move to Lisbon from Rome, where he was working whit the CEIPAC research team in the campaign of study materials at Monte Testaccio which takes place from 17 to 30 January 2016.
