José Remesal Rodríguez (Lora del Río, Seville, 1948) as well as being a professor of Ancient History at the University of Barcelona, is one of the great Spanish archaeologists being a world authority in the Roman world. You have also been interested in Ibiza. In 2013, he published with José María Pérez Suñé 1,200 pages dedicated to the life and work of the Asturian priest Carlos Benito González de Posada (1745-1831) who at the end of the 18th century was masterful canon of the then newly created cathedral of Ibiza. In that voluminous and extraordinarily well-documented book there are numerous pages dedicated to the stay and vericuetos of González Posada in the island pitiusa. Read more…

José Remesal Rodríguez (Lora del Río, Sevilla, 1948) además de ser catedrático de Historia Antigua de la Universidad de Barcelona, es uno de los grandes arqueólogos españoles siendo una autoridad mundial en el mundo romano. También se ha interesado por Ibiza. En 2013 publicó con José María Pérez Suñé 1.200 páginas dedicadas a la vida y obra del sacerdote asturiano Carlos Benito González de Posada (1745-1831) quien a finales del siglo XVIII fue canónigo magistral de la por entonces recién creada catedral de Ibiza.
