In this Doctoral Thesis, new interpretative and methodological bases will be presented for the study of the seals of the Betic oil amphorae (Dressel 20, ca.30-270 AD) from the point of view of their production centers in the valleys of the Guadalquivir and Genil . First, some relevant aspects of the stamps will be described: their contents, their structures, their matrices and their design. At the same time, new tools will be developed that will allow us to classify stamps with greater precision. New hypotheses about the function of seals are also included, which will allow us to address basic unresolved questions of research. New strategies will be included to organize and classify the stamps, so that the information is presented in optimal conditions and allows us to extract all their information potential from them. Finally, the model described will be applied to the analysis of the seals of a group of Figlinae producers of Betic oleic amphoras, neighboring and located in the final part of Corduba territory. Supported in these analyzes, we will propose hypotheses about the productive organization of these producing centers and their evolution over time.

En esta Tesis Doctoral se presentarán nuevas bases interpretativas y metodológicas para el estudio de los sellos de las ánforas olearias béticas (Dressel 20, ca.30-270 d.C.) desde el punto de vista de sus centros de producción de los valles del Guadalquivir y Genil. Primero se describirán algunos aspectos relevantes de los sellos: sus contenidos, sus estructuras, sus matrices y su diseño. Paralelamente, se desarrollarán nuevas herramientas que nos permitirán clasificar los sellos con mayor precisión. También se incluyen nuevas hipótesis sobre la función de los sellos, que nos permitirán abordar cuestiones básicas no resueltas de la investigación. Se incluirán nuevas estrategias para organizar y clasificar los sellos, de modo que la información se presente en unas condiciones óptimas y nos permita extraer de los mismos todo su potencial informativo. Finalmente, se aplicará el modelo descrito al análisis de los sellos de un grupo de figlinae productoras de ánforas olearias béticas, vecinas y situadas en la parte final del territorio de Corduba. Apoyados en estos análisis, propondremos hipótesis sobre la organización productiva de estos centros productores y su evolución en el tiempo.
